This panel discussion allows speakers to share their experiences with the intersection of craft and fashion, and to reflect on what we can learn from DIY integration with fashion, as well as music, product design, city planning, and education.
Panelists include Cathy Bailey–Owner/Designer, HEATH Ceramics; Rosanne Cash–Singer/Songwriter; Natalie Chanin–Author/Designer, Alabama Chanin; and Maria Cornejo–Designer, Zero + Maria Cornejo. The panel will be moderated by Andrew Wagner–DIY Design Editor, Columnist, Director–Krrb with Jessamyn Hatcher– Professor Global Studies–NYU.

George Esquival

George Esquivel has spent the past 17 years designing and making shoes in California. He has spent the past decade operating his company, Esquivel, from a small manufacturing facility in Orange County, California. In 2009 George became a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist, and is now a CFDA member.
