Details Project Threadways and Alabama Chanin present our fall Friends of the Café Dinner featuring chef Vishwesh Bhatt. Bhatt is chef at Snackbar in Oxford, Mississippi, winner of the 2019 James Beard Award for Best Chef: South, and author of I Am From Here: Stories and Recipes from a Southern Chef. All proceeds will benefit Project Threadways.Bhatt has asked that his chef’s fee be donated to Giving Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides emergency assistance for food service workers, including financial support and other community resources. Since its founding a decade ago, Giving Kitchen has granted more than $11 million to workers in crisis due to injury or illness.
